What you may not know is that of all the Omega 3 fatty acids, EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) are the fatty acids easiest to digest for our furry friends, and provide most of the benefits above. Both EPA and DHA come from cold-water fat-rich fish. Of all the fish in the sea, however, Anchovies and Sardines have the highest naturally occurring levels of EPA and DHA, ranging from approximately 16% to 21% EPA and 10% to 16% DHA.
